2020-21 Board Accomplishments

–In the midst of the Pandemic, we planned our most successful golf tournament that raised over $8,000 to benefit our Community Food Pantry. Many thanks to all who volunteered and sponsored CABA’s Golf Classic that helped us come together in a time of need, when we give back to many who had fallen on very difficult times.

–Throughout the year, our Community Outreach Committee has kept our focus on our neighbors by promoting volunteering at the Pantry; diaper drives, a CABA Trunk or Treat, and the Holiday Tree Lighting.

–Our Directory/Technology Committee sold CABA’s first digital banner ads and sidebar ads on our new CABA website to help our members gain more digital exposure. We are now making final preparations to launch a mobile, CABA app. that will help CABA members better promote their businesses to the Community.

–In three (3) months, our Membership Committee helped to recruit over 40 new CABA members who see the value of connecting with CABA. Also, we have created Power Teams to help members get connected to their best referral partners.

–Our Programs Committee has continued to schedule weekly networking events and Ribbon Cuttings, while our Power Lunch Committee has helped us promote our CABA member restaurants, as we speed network with CABA members.

–Our Golf Committee has expanded from Networking on the Nines to include Networking on the Go, which brings CABA members to our Golf Courses as well as fun outings like a pool tournament, an exclusive tour of MOSI, and an evening at the Comedy Club.

–Thanks to Signature Workspace Northdale and our Holiday After 5 Committee, we celebrated the holidays together with a lot of fun and an Ugly Sweater Contest.

–Throughout the Pandemic, the Publicity Committee took the wheel that safely steered us into virtual programming that showcased our members through a Lunch & Learn series and is getting ready to launch CABA’s first-ever podcast.

–CABA has reinstated its Government Committee that takes us back to the very beginnings of our business association in 1986.

–And the CABA Ambassadors Committee continues to reach out and help connect our CABA members with each other.
